The Sad Truth

I sit here,

watching the sun's

light

fade

into a dull nothing.

Into the darkness of night,

the world is engulfed in black.

The stars that once guided

us now hide in the shadows

of this earth we've created.

I watch as the world goes to sleep,

and all the buzzing of voices finally stop

for now.

I watch as everything

becomes nothing

time and time again,

and I see, the world's

deathly future.

*crying, tear, tear, tear* Hey h2opologirl this is really good. I love it. I think life is something too short and it shouldn't be. Life should be able to be enjoyed but for every person to die a new baby is welcomed to the world. What a vicious cycle. Just kidding. Life is short and sweet but its always remembered.

I love you're poems. They're full of really good imagery. Hope you continue to write more poems.
